Eliminated memory leaks that were causing multiple reboots daily and optimized thread management so the system could run nonstop at high volume.- Introduced and championed adoption of industry-standard work processes including version control and regular backups. Enabled fast, orderly release of multiple software versions and eliminated the threat of intellectual property loss.- Prototyped wireless On-Board Diagnostic System (OBD-II) scanner. To meet the challenge of connecting to any vehicle made since 1996, abstracted the communications interface from the display layer using object-orientation.- Transformed a small clip-art app into a tool used nationwide to generate school photos. Added a scripting interface for programmatic generation of framed images.

Developed and tested algorithms for tracking rockets launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The Range Standardization and Automation IIA (RSA IIA) contract provides the systems engineering, integration, and testing needed to define, develop, deliver, activate, and sustain the nation's Spacelift Range System (SLRS). Grew from standard contributor to lead engineer on a key component of the Flight Operations System.- Created new rocket-tracking algorithms with standardized structure and behavior. Existing algorithms were finely tuned, but difficult to decipher and test.
