My name is Dimitris Tsingos, a technology entrepreneur from Aspropyrgos, Greece, and Founder/CEO of Starttech Ventures, a venture builder and angel investor based in Athens. My focus is on entrepreneurship and efficient growth models, studying methodologies like Lean Startup, Agile, and Design Thinking while fostering effective team cultures.As Starttech Ventures CEO, I also serve as President for our portfolio companies, including Epignosis, Yodeck, DreamClass, and others. Previously, I was President of AbZorba Games, a mobile gaming venture acquired by Novomatic in 2015.A committed European federalist, I co-authored the 2017 Rome Manifesto advocating for European federal integration. In 2020, I founded "Together for Europe," a movement for a federal European Union. I also created the Vassilios Tsingos Foundation for Education, Research, and Cooperativism in 2021, honoring my grandfather and the many Greeks who fought against Fascism in WWII.I’ve been an angel investor since 2009, co-founding Greece’s first formal angel group, HeBAN, in 2015. I’ve served twice on the Board of Directors of EBAN and led YES for Europe as President from 2010 to 2016, representing the EU in the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance. My advocacy roles include founding the Hellenic Start-up Association and serving as President of the Hellenic Federation of Young Entrepreneurs and Hellenic Informatics Union.In 2019, I became a Fellow of PSL University’s Institute for Innovation, following a Marshall Memorial Fellowship in 2018. I’m also an alumnus of the US State Department’s IVLP (2013) and the European Young Leaders program (2012-13).My academic journey began with a Computer Science degree from the University of Crete (2002), where I co-founded Virtual Trip, Greece’s first student startup. I later earned an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2005). My “Entrepreneurial Ecosystem” model, published in 2009, underpins Starttech Ventures’ programs.Fluent in Greek and English, with conversational French, I cherish my family’s Arvanitika heritage despite knowing only a few words of the language. A philosophy and psychology enthusiast, I’ve followed a personal rule of reading one book per month since 2016, spanning topics from business to poetry.As a teenager, I competed in Judo, earning a bronze medal in 1993. Later, I embraced endurance sports, completing the Marathon de Paris and Athens Authentic Marathon in 2018, as well as the Tallinn IRONMAN 180 km cycling relay.
