I am an undergraduate student in the Department of Biology in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During my studies I have developed a strong interest with subjects concerning microbiology and molecuar biology that have made me eager to associate with the fields of Immunology and Vaccinology. My journey has had many challenges so far but has given me experiences and skills that they can be nothing but useful. Having worked in the field of catering and services, I have learned the importance of active listening, empathy, and clarity, qualities that are essential for building strong relationships in any environment. I have come to appreciate the value of cooperation, adaptability, and shared responsibility, as these elements are key to maintaining a positive and efficient workplace. My work experiences so far have given me a robust skill set that I carry with me, confident that they will continue to serve me well, no matter where my career path leads.The academic journey has so far led me into my first contact with the the life of an Academic and a Researcher, my undergraduate thesis that associates with the study of toxic cyanobacteria and their effects in clinic strains of the pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii. This is the first step in the world of research which can later on enable me to engage in public health or clinical practice within the fields to help advance disease prevention and treatment.
