Thabang is a highly respected social entrepreneur, businessman, and Group Chief Executive Officer of Nahana Communications Group, a member of the Interpublic Group of Companies that is 60% African owned, a role he assumed in March 2022.Prior to his current position, Thabang was the Group Managing Director of FCB and Hellocomputer Joburg Group, the flagship agency within the Nahana Communications Group. He is known for successfully combining capitalist and philanthropic principles and has been instrumental in founding several organizations that have had a positive impact on society.In 2005, he co-founded Kaelo, which has conducted over 2,000,000 tests for HIV and Chronic Diseases, identifying hundreds of thousands of people with HIV and/or Chronic Diseases and managing them individually through the health system. Thabang also started The Lonely Road Foundation for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in 2007 by cycling alone and unsupported from Johannesburg to Moshi, Tanzania and then climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Today, the Lonely Road supports over 4,000 children in rural communities from their humble start of 64 children.Born and raised in exile, Thabang returned to finish high school and attend university in Cape Town in 1989. On his journey for solutions to some of Africa's greatest challenges, he has become a Tutu Leadership Fellow and an Edward S. Mason Fellow. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UCT and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He is a lifelong learner who believes that the more he learns, the less he understands, and he is committed to continually expanding his knowledge and skills.Thabang attributes his accomplishments to the amazing team of people he has had and still has the honor and privilege of working with.
