Currently overseeing in-house fiber optic technicians and also subcontractor splicing crews. Managerial tasks include but not limited to approving timesheets, verify invoicing, verifying field documentation, technical training, and implementing proper safety training and requirements. Also, creating a direct report of communication with each one of our in-house techs or subcontractor company owner/managers. Managing each individual splicing project with the assigned job owner and invoicing multiple lines of business. Also, conducting weekly meetings to address any concerns about projects and review practices and standards to meet our customers needs. Complete weekly field visit QC audits to insure high craftsmanship with splicing projects. This includes installation of correct DWDM /CWDM / Optical Splitters / Nodes as well as correctly built continuity for the designed route matrix, completing proper fiber certificates from the Hub, and insuring best construction practices.From 02/2021 to 02/2022 - Completed over 150 new FTTH Hub sites and activated over 65,000 homes pass during a new construction Turn-Key build-out for a major customer. Managed construction crews to set G-pon Hub sites, run backbone and feeder fiber optic cable, and complete certified ribbon splicing for all locations. Each Hub site location was bi-directionally tested with OLTS End to End certifications to meet or exceed customer standards and expectations.

Oversee contractor construction crews who are currently building out the core infrastructure for Verizon One-Fiber Wireless 5G Small Cell Fiber Optic Networks. Tracking ROW COH Permits and construction drawings for the contractors on different projects. Updating Blueprint Redlines/As-builds as they are receive from the contractors. Relaying the progress information via Microsoft Smartsheets for real-time updates. Verifying conduit and hand-hole depths, back of curb, and off set measurements are correct according to Verizon Wireless Blueprint Schematics. Verifying that all City Municipality Code standards are meet for excavation and restoration practices. Checking every node blueprint for proper conduit bore footage and hand-hole with correct node site location placement. Ensuring that all safety standards are in place for construction sites, mobility, and PPE needed for a proper work safe environment.

Oversee construction contractors and fiber splicers working on current projects for legacy Level 3, legacy Time Warner Telecom, and CenturyLink OSP fiber network infrastructure. Build MOPs with splicing schematics for scheduled cut-overs and coordinate with splicing vendors. Start new projects with newly awarded jobs to contractors and coordinate start dates and project timelines for completion. Assist CAD Engineers with design and construction of Fiber Optic OSP Network for local CenturyLink and legacy Level 3 infrastructure. Update daily 3GIS with current info for OSP FOC network. Build Google Earth KMZ's for updating OSP networks and new project. Update all network re-designed plant extensions, road additions, cable re-routes, and poles changes. Receive and verify the contractor/vendor invoicing while tracking project financial budgets. Inventory all materials, fiber reels, and company vehicle maintenance on a monthly basis. Monitor all vendors while on job sites that include plant relocation jobs, new build jobs, and temp or permanent restoration services. Rotate weekly on-call responsibilities.

OSP work included splice, repair, and OTDR Fiber Optic cabling, as well as assisted other technicians with problems they may encounter. On call responsibility for any fiber optic outages that may occur. Required to get on-site and determine what type of repair is needed. Made all calls to necessary departments if construction materials were needed. Used AutoCAD for plant updates and design changes. OTDR, fusion splicers, and an aerial lift vehicle were common necessary tools used on all outages.
