The MSS Resident Consultant plays an integral part in the implementation, integration and adoption of Dell SecureWorks Managed Security Services across the enterprise. This role functions as a critical conduit between the customer and Dell SecureWorks. As a Cyber Security Specialist in Computer Network Defense (CND) I implement a full spectrum Defense-In-Depth program in the following areas:• Firewall & Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)• Internet Proxy• Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) & Security Technical Implementation Guide Compliance (STIG). • Incident Management and Response• Risk Assessments• Host Based Security System (HBSS)• Wireless Network Detection • Computer and Network Forensics

I was responsible for administering, and supervising an entire shift of Police Officers consisting of 22 personnel. I performed daily guard mount and conducted guard mount training on various law enforcement subjects to keep subordinates aware of requirements and changes. I also reviewed work assignments by conducting on-site inspections on a continuous basis. Ensures and makes periodic checks for proper compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and instructions.

As an infantry squad leader I led and trained a 9-men tactical combat squad while assigned to a rapid deployment division with the capability of worldwide deployment in 72 hours. I received vigorous training at the National Training Center, the Army's premiere training site requiring the use of problem solving, analytical and organized skills to complete multiple mission assignments. I organized work for subordinates, briefed operation orders and assisted team members in daily problem resolution. I investigated alleged misconduct of soldiers, conducted limited investigations, took statements, and gathered information for use during disciplinary proceedings. I evaluate work performance of subordinates; gave advice, counseled soldiers on both work and administrative matters, recommend soldiers for promotions, and reassignments. I identified developmental training and needs of the Army as well as soldiers and developed performance standards. While serving in this position I was also the physical security custodian. I developed procedures to ensure that all classified documents are properly marked, secured, controlled, and safeguarded. Maintained all sign in and out logs as well as key control also. I ensured that my department was in proper compliance with the Army's rules and regulation on physical security. I would conduct briefings to the unit commander on all security issues. I provided logistical support as well for the Company Commander by maintaining all property books, documents and logs making sure the company was in compliance with all public laws, regulations and other directives affecting property administration and accountability. Maintained programs to ensure proper accuracy, regulations, guidelines and policies are complied with as set forth by the Department of Defense. Ensured that all authorized signatures are present, and documentation of the requisitioning process through receipt and payment is recorded.
