Highly experienced media professional and collaborative researcher. Over 20 years in b2b journalism and PR/comms in creative industries. I have held senior editorial positions on leading industry publications such as PC Week (Acting Editor) and Music Week (Managing Editor), overseeing news content and managing teams of in-house and freelance writers. I have appeared on national TV and been quoted in national print media on matters relating to the tech and music industries. During my time in agency PR, I was director of a newly formed new media division at Beattie Media in London, winning and overseeing accounts including nme.com and Abbey Road Interactive, part of the world famous Abbey Road Studios. After being diagnosed with osteoarthritis in 2017, life took a different turn. I became passionate about patient involvement in health research and trained to become a patient researcher (studying with EULAR, the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology). I am currently working with some of the UK's biggest non-profit organisations and institutions dedicated to improving the lives of the 10 million people living with arthritis, helping to ensure the patient voice is heard at every stage of research.
