Mr. Peterson is a Geospatial Professional with experience and training in varying degrees of systems and software packages including Orbit GT, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, Oracle, SQL Server, AutoCAD Map, and MicroStation. His background is in geography with an emphasis in GIS and urban planning. He has many years of experience in digital mapping programs and GIS/AM/FM projects associated with landbase and base map preparation, as well as facilities and infrastructure GIS, and Mobile LiDAR collection and extraction. Mr. Peterson's current responsibilities include project management, database maintenance and analysis and quality assurance/quality control. Mr. Peterson also acts as the primary technical lead for all projects that use the Esri suite of products and also acts as the main Esri technical support for Michael Baker International, in addition to being the primary database administrator for the Michael Baker Enterprise Architecture for Spatial Technologies (BEAST) system. The BEAST is a cloud-based series of Citrix and application servers that allow for the editing of enterprise spatial data within various GIS software environments.

My initial employment period with Michael Baker Jr., Inc. revolved mainly around the development and implementation of the Army Corps of Engineers' Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE). The SDSFIE is the enterprise database standard used throughout the US Department of Defense. Specific tasks included investigative research, standards review and database correlation. Other tasks at Baker included project task management, GPS field data collection, client communication, and subcontractor management.

My work experience at Volkert involved working in the Environmental department and producing maps and figures for documents. I worked on portions of Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact studies and FONSI reports. The main projects include the PD&E Study for US 98; the new I-759 bridge construction project; I served as GIS coordinator for the GPS/GIS drive-time study for the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission (SARPC) in Mobile, AL. This study involved collecting GPS data for all of the major arteries in the Mobile area that will be imported into ArcView. This project involved customizing ArcView using Avenue for the purposes of simplifying the process for the SARPC and included include training the members of SARPC upon project completion
