Vice President, Information Technology
CurrentAs the leader of the Information Technology department for the Breeders' Cup, I am responsible for all aspects of the organization's technology needs. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the help desk to ensure that all employees have the support they need to be productive. Additionally, I work closely with the team to enhance and maintain an in-house CRM system that is tailored to the specific needs of the organization. This system is used to track customer interactions, serve as an accounting system, and provide valuable insights into customer behavior.One of my key responsibilities is budgeting for the IT department. This includes forecasting future technology needs and identifying cost-effective solutions to meet those needs. I work closely with the organization's leadership team to ensure that the IT budget aligns with overall business objectives and that the department is able to effectively manage its resources to deliver maximum value.Another import role is the planning and execution of the IT plan for our annual company event. This event requires setting up temporary offices for our entire staff and vendors, and takes place in a different location every year. I am responsible for ensuring that all IT-related needs are met during the event, from setting up and maintaining network infrastructure to providing technical support for staff and vendors. I work closely with other departments to coordinate and execute the IT plan, ensuring that it runs smoothly and that all technology-related issues are handled efficiently.In addition to these specific responsibilities, I also manage all other aspects of the IT department, including vendor management, systems administration, security, and all other tasks as required. I am a hands-on administrator, developing new skills and maintaining the necessary knowledge and awareness of technology trends, evolution and information necessary to promote the company's growth and my own personal growth.
