This work culminated with the addition of approximately 120 cases into the AP's database and death count. • Lead writer on the methodology story explaining to readers how AP investigated these deaths.• Reviewed more than 250 cases to determine whether officers broke any safety guidelines or best practices in their use of "less lethal" force, including with stun guns, leg restraints, pepper spray, prone positioning and spit hoods.
