2016 - Present Cinema Directing One Beginning directing course covering the basic rules of filmmaking. Aesthetics, storytelling with images, rehearsal techniques, film set operations and protocol. Each student develops and directs one scene shot with a full film crew. 2002 - 2015 Comedy Directing Workshop Creator and instructor of production class dealing with comedy specifically for film. Students learn to create comedy not only with material but also by utilizing film techniques through sight gags and editing. Students develop, shoot, and edit 4 short comedies. The videos are then combined to create an hour long comedy program screened at the end of each semester. 2011 - 2013 Cinema Directing TwoAdvanced course preparing students for professional film production. Students develop their directing skills shooting three projects on a professional sound stage working with full film crews. 15 week course covering both dramatic and logistical aspects of film production.
