Right now I am in charge of the Young Adult collection and administer the network of the Belleville Public Library and Information Center in Belleville NJ.I also served as Assistant Director of the Edison Township Free Public Library and branch manager for the library's vibrant North Edison Branch.I have IT experience as well as a Masters in Library and Information Science. I also have a Bachelors in Art and Graphic Design which has proven to be far more useful in life than I ever imagined despite not pursuing a career dedicated to the arts.Ever since my first real job at the Montclair Public Library where I provided technical support in their progressive IT department I have developed a passion for civil service and library service in particular.I am always seeking to expand my horizons, I keep an open mind and enjoy sharing new ideas.

It Librarian
Primary responsibilities centered around maintaining the integrity and operation of the library's network of 93 computers spanning three locations. I am currently responsible for the maintenance of the library current website and the design and development of the library's new website (2013).I also provide Reference and Research services and participate in collection development.

As Assistant Director I stand second to the Director of the Edison Township Free Public Library System which serves a community diverse in culture, social and economic status. The system also covers a large geographic area in the state of New Jersey and is one of the largest systems in the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium. The Edison Public Library employs 55 staff members to carry out operations at the library.I attend Board Meetings and discuss relevant information to keep the board informed of library activities when necessary. I also stay abreast of trends affecting the field of Librarianship and make recommendations as to future plans.I am also currently overseeing the day to day bookkeeping of the Trustee Account managing the collections from all three branch locations.As Branch Manager I oversee the day to day operations and maintain the facilities at the North Edison Branch Library situated not far from the Garden State Parkway. I implement changes as instructed, make and execute recommendations for building improvements, respond to questions and concerns from patrons, assist in the day to day operations as needed and enjoy working with the kids even if it is mostly spent telling them to be quiet.Under my supervision at the North Edison Branch are 24 talented staff members working in three basic departments under the direct supervision of department heads.I also manage any emergency situations that may arise and implement procedures to prevent them arising again.
