GLOW Association is empowering Bulgarian youth through non-formal education. Its main project is the annual summer Leadership Academy, which gathers 80 high school girls from around the country and equips them with useful, transferrable knowledge and skills absent from the mainstream educational system. Through the 17 years of its existence GLOW has directly influenced 850 girls and their communities.• Developing a social enterprise business plan: analysis of the environment and the social need, clarifying the target group, suggesting new business models. • Head of recruiting staff members: delegating tasks to recruitment team, facilitating work meetings, leading the communication with applicants, developing assessment criteria, evaluating applications, conducting interviews, pairing in teams, optimising the logistics of the whole process. This experience enabled me to develop teamwork skills, communication and workload management. SOW Asia is a social start-up accelerator operating in Hong Kong. The ventures it works with tackle some of Hong Kong's most serious social and environmental issues like food waste, urban poverty, mental health, etc. For 2015-2016, SOW Asia will be working closely with its strategic partners to support at least 25 enterprises with the goal that at least 10% will be ready for early scale (follow-on funding).• Contributed to the development of SOW Asia's fundraising strategy through needs analysis; developing a novel approach to donors; researching and implementing an online Donate button; creating an adaptable, functional and interactive newsletter. This work greatly developed my understanding of the funding channels of a foundation and its connections with other organisations and individuals. I equipped me with solid knowledge of online sell and donate buttons. I also gained experience in working with website platforms, including squarespace. • Coordinated a research on battery recycling in Hong Kong laying the basis of a business project, which received funding by a major foundation. This incredible experience taught me a lot about time management, responsibility delegation, working in and managing a culturally diverse team, balancing a number of tasks and the ability to take responsibility for your actions and their outcomes. • Conducted in-depth research on Hong Kong social enterprise projects in the following areas: unbanked population, domestic helpers' debt, reducing the cost of living for the poor, food waste upcycling and reduction, improving AC efficiency, green buildings, battery recycling, construction waste recycling. These projects developed and diversified my research skills and provided me with comprehensive understanding of Mainland China, Hong Kong and their social and environmental issues.• Represented SOW Asia at the first national Social Enterprise conference in China; Shenzhen, July 2015
