Factory liaison to Research and Development Engineering during product development activities to ensure product manufacturability, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and test optimization. Lead factory teams in introduction of new products to the factory environment including work instructions, test instructions, factory test solutions within the consideration of human work factors. • Responsible for new product introduction to manufacturing and released product support. Plan, define and implement new manufacturing systems for new product introductions, plan and coordinate pilot and first production, evaluate and report on new product yields, performance issues, manufacturing challenges, etc.• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing optimization activities. Provide technical input and enact product and test design changes to ensure safety, ship-to-commit and product quality goals are achieved. • Develop and deploy site-wide process controls to ensure products comply with established quality and performance requirements. Ensure producability, quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards requirements are achieved by reviewing and evaluating new and existing product designs.• Lead/champion LEAN/continuous improvement within manufacturing that include equipment/fixture design and/or process changes. • Provide technical input and approve component alternates to maintain work-in-process schedules.• Maintain current knowledge regarding new developments, methods and trends in RF and GPS products manufacturing and test.• Adherence to a project management concepts, practices, and procedures. • Generate Engineering documentation including Change Notices, technical documents, tuning procedures, in-process test procedures and Final Acceptance Test procedures.
