I am responsible for raising public awareness about sexual violence, and educating the community about ACTS Sexual Assault Services. We provide individual and group support, counseling, hospital accompaniment, court advocacy and accompaniment, a 24/7 sexual assault hotline, community education, and Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) classes. I also oversee volunteer recruitment, training, coordination, supervision and retention.

Our mission is to help children that are victims of abuse and neglect to have safe, permanent homes and for them to receive all the services needed for them to become healthy mentally, physically and emotionally. We also help to ensure that educational assistance is provided when needed. As an officer of the court when assigned a case, we help Juvenile and Family Judges make the best possible ruling regarding the child by supporting them with increased information concerning the child and their case. By providing closer and more frequent monitoring of court orders and social service plans created for the child, we are able to help ensure follow through. Most importantly, we are a consistent friend to the child while they are in the court system. We get to know the child by talking with everyone in that child's life: parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others. We use the information we gather to inform judges and others of what the child needs and what will be the best permanent home for them.
