The International Myeloma Foundation support groups bring myeloma patients, caregivers, family members, and friends together. Patients involved in a support group experience more positive outcomes due to their understanding of treatment options, enabling them to have key conversations with their healthcare team.I found this group very helpful when I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, in December of 2023. As an extremely complex incurable cancer, every patient has a customized approach to their treatment plan. Members of the support group will learn a wealth of information, especially helpful to patients recently diagnosed to empower them to better understand and navigate their Multiple Myeloma journey. As well the group offers its members the opportunity to learn of new treatments and drugs to fight this daunting disease.
