Responsible for training, managing, planning, and organizing 15 personnel in over 40,000 yearly man/hours of maintenance and repair of complex systems that support submarine and nuclear power plant operations and updating executive level management on equipment status. Required to interface with thirteen cross-functional teams to deconflict and plan work flow, time management, logistics, and resource management. Knowledgeable in system testing, process analysis and improvement, project management, planned preventive maintenance, risk assessment and management, occupational health programs, internal audits, quality assurance and team building techniques.

Responsible for all aspects of electrical maintenance and repair of a nuclear powered submarine to include: High Voltage and Low Voltage AC and DC power generation and conversion systems, power storage and distribution systems, pneumatic and lubricating systems, oxygen generation and water generation systems, fluid and air purification systems and refrigeration/air conditioning systems. Knowledgeable in applied nuclear physics, electrical theory, pneumatic and fluid system theory, calibration techniques, blueprint reading, technical writing, radiation biology, radiation effects, radiation monitoring, water chemistry controls, steam generation equipment.

Demonstrated highly effective teaching skills and a comprehensive understanding of schoolhouse management, training administration, curriculum management, and curriculum development. Developed, evaluated, and qualified over 50 cross-functional subject matter experts as MTSs in advanced instructional skills, knowledge, and abilities that enhanced the delivery of quality adult education, training, and curriculum development. Mentored, instructed, and evaluated 107 instructors and curricula products for 42 courses. Evaluated instructors daily on delivery techniques, instructional methodology, media usage, and technical expertise and fostered greater training professionalism within the schoolhouse. Briefed executive level stakeholders weekly on various training metrics used to determine course load, effective class sizes, course scheduling, and required budget. Awarded “Instructor of the Year” and “Sailor of the Year”.

Instructed approximately 400 technicians in the following topics: Electronic Fundamentals to include: diode and transistor junction theory, operational amplifiers, digital logic, signal propagation, vacuum tube theory, power electronics, and static power conversion. Electrical Fundamentals to include: basic and complex AC and DC circuits, transformer theory, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, AC and DC motor controllers, air conditioning and control systems. Electrical Maintenance to include: Maintenance Fundamentals, Troubleshooting Techniques, Safety Techniques, Schematic Analysis, Technical Writing, and specific equipment maintenance on Turbine Generators, Diesel Generators, Motor Generators, Motors, and Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Systems.
