I have been employed with the Sallisaw Police Department since 2008. During that time I have been able to obtain my Advance Certification with CLEET. I obtained the rank of Corporal and the was assigned to the Detectives Unit in 2013. While in Investigations I received training to investigate all crimes but notably child sexual and physical abuse. As of 2020 I have been a Patrol Lieutenant. My primary role is supervision of a Patrol shift. I have also been very involved in the training and the FTO program. I have received my certification as a Glock Armorer, Pepperball Instructor/Armorer, and Taser Instructor. I have experience in preparing trainings and classroom material. As a CLEET certified instructor I have also taught that material to other Law Enforcement Professionals and in-service trainings. In addition to my role at The Sallisaw Police Department I have been an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police. I have served as the President for 7 years and cure hold that role. My duties include contract negotiations, grievance negotiations, fundraiser development, and mentoring new officers.
