With over five years of experience in mechanical engineering and design, I have developed a strong expertise in both hands-on and technical roles, primarily in the defense and aerospace industries. I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, building on an A.A.S. in Engineering Technology from Wallace State Community College. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in 3D modeling, prototyping, and design optimization, with extensive proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software like Matlab, Patran, and Nastran. I am also well-versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 and have led several initiatives in 3D printing and weld design. In my most recent role at Scientific Research Corporation, I led efforts to integrate new designs into legacy systems, reducing development time and improving system functionality. My time at Teledyne Brown Engineering involved collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce detailed mechanical and electrical models, ensuring compliance with military and industry standards.
