I am an analytical, assumption challenging devil's advocate who is honest to a fault. I published my first paper during my senior year as an undergraduate, thanks in large part to a devoted mentor. This inspired me to go on to graduate school where I earned a M.S. in Computer Science from New Mexico Tech, graduating with Highest Honors. My master's research focused on crowd sourcing wireless signal data collection using cell phones in order to generate useful visualizations. I have presented at two technical conferences: ISPAN 2012 and as a keynote at the Four Corner’s 10th Annual Technology Leadership Conference. I have co-authored two published research papers, as well as contributed to the writing of a grant proposal for the Puerto Seguro Safe Harbor homeless shelter that was awarded $10,000 from the Frost Foundation. I am proficient in several programming languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Java, PHP and Python. I am not a morning person, so I tend to do my best work in the afternoon and evenings. I enjoy collaborative efforts, but tend to prefer working on my own in a nice quiet environment. I believe that honesty is always the best policy. That being said, I have been told that I am sometimes a little too honest. I instinctually view problems from all sides, which leads me to play devil's advocate in most situations and conversations. This can be offputting to some people, so I try to do my best to clarify early on that this is just my way of analyzing and solving problems when working with new people.
