About Tucker Wannamaker

As the CXO of THRIVE IMPACT, I am working to redefine a better normal for impact-driven leadership -- to be about creating impact from the inside out. Many of us are not here to just do nice things in the world, we're here to create positive change. Yet, our workplaces and communities are not a place of thriving -- they're a place of burnout. Sadly, burnout is the enemy of creating positive change. I facilitate transformational leadership development workshops, co-creative strategic planning processes, and connective community experiences that unlock the best in impact-driven leaders and the collective wisdom of impact-driven teams. For the last 15 years, I've been in the trenches of community work and nonprofits as a leader inside of Ashoka, Character.org, and Youth Service America; as a founder of a startup nonprofit called Wild Fire Tees leading them to $1M in revenue in the first year; and developing leadership development and strategic planning programs for clients like the Rochester Community Foundation, United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, City of Colorado Springs, YMCA of Cleveland, Greater Nashua Mental Health, Pikes Peak Community Foundation, and the Alaska Community Foundation. A little about me personally: I ride an old 1980 Vespa. I have four (nearly) teenage kids that are radical. I love taking them camping and kayaking (it's the Colorado in me). What I worked on while I was there: - Produced a 20% increase in conversions and revenue through effective market research and empathetic messaging. - Managed communication transition during CEO change- Helped refocus direction back on education, clarify the message and prioritize the strategy- Create an affiliate business model to ensure sustainability and brand consistency of the Schools of Character program across all of our states.- Solidifying and clarifying the path of a School of Character for better engagement of schools in our process.     We are a group of designers, marketers and printers who live in Colorado, love our community, and hate watching it burn. We put our volunteering skills together in order to support the wildfire relief efforts in a way that far exceeds any individual check we could write.We thought we would just sell a few hundred t-shirts to our friends and ship them out on the weekends... We quickly learned that would not be the case. In the first day and a half after launch, we sold $183,000 worth. A little less than two years later, we reached our goal of selling over $1mil worth and have given away more than $500,000 to various orgs like the Red Cross, Care and Share Food Bank, Ute Valley Elementary School (to rebuild their playground), and many other non-profit organizations involved in helping victims recover from the terrible wildfires our state went through. My responsibilities: - Setting up the organizational structure and attaining the 501(c)3 status.- Creating and curating video, photo and written content for social and the press. - Building and managing a t-shirt distribution channel to effective fulfill all of our orders.
