While at Northwestern University, Tuck Lee studied with Ray Still, Principal Oboist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. During his studies, he was invited to play chamber music at The American Conservatory in Fountainebleau, France. He was appointed Oboist with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra in Ft. Lauderdale, where he also performed with Florida Grand Opera in Miami. Tuck has also held positions with the New World Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas, the Malaysian Philharmonic, and Ravinia Festival Orchestra, and has performed with Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and San Francisco Symphony. He has served on faculty at Manhattan School of Music, and maintains a private teaching studio. In addition to his work at Wicked, Tuck performs regularly with the New York Philharmonic and nearly all the major orchestras and chamber ensembles in New York City. He may be heard on recordings with Broadway stars Barbara Cook and Sutton Foster, various TV commercials, NFL Football, NBC’s SMASH, and the Nickelodeon hit children’s show, Wonderpets! When not performing, Tuck may be found roaming the links of the local golf courses.
