Sales & Client Service Manager

In 2017 I joined this specialist material and process technology company which supplies grinding equipment for the processing of feed and advanced industrial materials. I reported directly to the Managing Director, and held direct reports from Test Engineer and 2 Warehouse Operatives. My role included responsibility for a large portfolio encompassing all sales, account management and business development activity including generating leads, preparing quotations and defining contract terms. I maximised revenue generation from the largest accounts which each represented a significant share of overall company revenue, including leading the planning and coordination of agreed work. Central to my success was the proactive identification of opportunities, development of innovative business cases and the effective engagement of clients, which was achieved by leveraging my personal technical background, network of contacts and relationship building skills. During my time with Euromilling I secured a 6.5m Kr. project with BWSC, a biomass focused power plant company, which also involved cooperation with the Swedish state heating and power plant company. I successfully pitched for and won a lucrative project with Valmet, a Finnish company which develops manufacturing facilities acting on behalf of their client, the largest paper manufacturer in China. I also won and delivered a project for Bluepoint Pellets in close liaison with their Plant Manager; delivered revision and redesign of their machine park which led to a 36% production increase and 57% energy saving.

Sep 2017 - Nov 2019

Key Account Manager

Copenhagen Area, Capital Region, Denmark

Following a major internal restructure, I assumed responsibility for this newly formalised remit with accountability for managing all client relations, product lines and Danish clients of a $90m USD portfolio. I delivered robust and ongoing support to clients including Maersk, Hess and DONG (now INEOS), and planned/hosted a broad range of seminars, meetings, workshops and other events with contract owners/ users (including engaging contributions from experts) in order to optimise services offered and increase revenue. This role demanded a high degree of technical and hands-on involvement, which was very challenging and satisfying, allowing me to utilize a large part of my technical knowledgeOn a day to day basis I collaborated with colleagues representing various product lines and the sales function while holding sole responsibility for the prioritisation, planning and execution of my own workload. I maintained a comprehensive and up to date awareness of all global activities and developments, and played a key contributory role in tender preparation, both personally contributing data and strategy, and coordinating the contribution of internal product line personnel to track progress and manage deadlines. My activities also included sourcing potential vendors for upcoming projects and coordinating between global and local product lines. I continued to serve as an SME trouble-shooter funnelling knowledge and expertise from relevant parties to investigate and identify any arising problems whether operational or financial. During my tenure I developed and delivered two highly successful proposals (Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) and Coil Tubing) directly to Gretchen Watkins, former COO of Maersk Oil, resulting in increased production. I also produced presentations / data utilised in strategy planning meetings with Global Account Director and Regional VP of BHI and Maersk Oil Corporate VP / Procurement, and attended / contributed to global business review meetings.

In this challenging role I assumed responsibility for the entire Danish data delivery portfolio encompassing both LWD and wireline activity in all Danish wells; this included ensuring delivery of accurate timely data to clients including Maersk Oil & Hess. I also served as key point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for planned jobs in other global locations; functioning as a trouble-shooter able to resolve a variety of issues encountered. In order to succeed I provided support to client staff spanning all levels up to Head of Wells Dept., and managed the ongoing development and maintenance of productive client relations including upsell of new products and solutions. I devised and delivered workshops and presentations to effectively convey the benefits of potential add-on services and fulfilled all aspects of client account management. In addition, I supported lab experiments on perforations and flow establishment and served as work environment representative.

During my tenure I established workshops, meetings and presentations with clients to effectively upsell new products, services and solutions; engaging the services of international experts to illustrate benefits. A key part of this role was processing and presenting data to a wide audience including petro-physicists, geologists, reservoir engineers and asset managers etc. and coordinating new jobs with product experts, and operations & field personnel. At all times I ensured consistent adherence to deadlines, and managed relations with authorities on RA sources & permits.
