Directed start-up of the copper recovery plant by implementing and managing a commissioning plan which consisted of daily supervision of the commissioning team, EPCM and vendor coordination, equipment testing, operator training, and process integration. Plant will produce 45 tonnes per day of copper sulphide at full ramp-up, adding $50 Million/year to the revenue. Facilitated plant handover from EPCM to Owners by attending walk downs, ensuring consistency between P&IDs and as built conditions and verifying completion of all punch list items. Developed commissioning guidelines by reviewing flow sheets (PFDs, P&IDs), equipment specifications and control narratives. Guidelines were used to prove equipment integrity and performance. Delivered timely start-up of sulphur burners for cyanide destruction (INCO SO2/Air process).Achieved hands-on plant experience through active involvement in commissioning of crushing, grinding, thickeners, counter-current decantation, and process water treatment circuits.Created key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational readiness, plant uptime, throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness.Efficiently worked on a 72+ hour workweek rotation.
