As Executive Director of the Directors and Editors Guild of NZ, I am charged with ensuring the creative, cultural and financial wellbeing of directors and editors in New Zealand.As an independent producer with Tauihu Media Limited, we are committed to embracing the new face of Aotearoa New Zealand, and telling stories that represent the multicultural society we live in and the global village we are a part of.PROFILEI am a highly experienced international media professional, having worked for large and small organisations in both New Zealand and Asia in internal and external communications, marketing, information and entertainment programming, commercials, film and TV production. I have a proven ability to work with all levels of management in the commercial, non-profit and government spheres.BACKGROUNDI have worked across a broad range of sectors, the most recent being the New Zealand film industry as a script consultant, writer, director, producer and executive producer. I am an EAVE Producers Workshop, NZFC A to Z Producing Workshop and Rotterdam Producers Lab alumnus. Previously, I have worked as a consultant for organisations including the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust, ASB Community Trust, the New Zealand Film Commission and Auckland Film Studios. I have an in-depth knowledge of tourism, which has put me to work for international brands including Air New Zealand, Continental Airlines, Matsushita Avionics and Tourism Holdings. My broad corporate communications experience has seen me effect projects for some of New Zealand’s largest companies including Fletchers, SkyCity, Vector and Lion Nathan. I have a strong grounding in television and financial news gained through employment with amongst others the global information giant Reuters and its subsidiary Visnews. I have an inquiring mind and a dedication to results that over-deliver.
