I am an economist by qualification and an experienced salesman. I studied economics because it allows me to think deeper and wider, I love sales because it such a critical part of any business, and that excites me. I am a financial advisor by profession and the following are my most common roles: • Project manager - Team leader to accomplish goals• Problem solve - Lives for a challenge• Thinker - Think before you speak or act• Planner - Identify the route and the stops along the way• Designer - Manufacturing the plan• Implementer - Sharing the thought, plan, and design• Student/Educator - Transferring the know-how to empower I am a "Big Picture" person but I also maintain an appreciation for detail. I do research it and ask questions. I seek explanations and demonstrations from the experts so that you don’t have to. I go with my instincts. When I listen properly, they are always right. I have always been a good problem solver. No matter what the discipline, the proven formula for solving problems is - establish the facts, don't make assumptions, and diagnose the problem, don't guess. The Thinker, Planner, Designer, I owe this part of my process engine to my tertiary qualification. From the thought comes the plan. From the plan comes the design. And from the design comes the solution (and feedback). This is a constant loop for me, always refining and improving the cycle, and paying attention to the limitations and cornucopia. Half the battle is won just by respecting time and money. The implementer part of me is about getting things done. Be it developing and running an extended project or typing a document in preparation for a presentation. I do what is necessary to complete the task at hand. Lastly, the Student/Educator part of me steams from my will to survive. In this ever-changing economic and technological environment, continuous learning and improvement of self, and those around me (colleagues and clients alike) is the key to survival.
