Development and management of statewide strategies, initiatives and commissioning frameworks to improve prevention and rehabilitation outcomes in the NSW workers compensation and compulsory third party (CTP) systems. Contributing to stewardship of approx. $2 billion annual health expenditure.Project areas: Health Economics and Commissioning, Psychological and Traumatic Brain Injury Strategy.

Identified strategic policy issues and systemic opportunities to progress the NSW Mental Health Strategic Plan, working with government and non-government stakeholders. Established strong information sources and maintained regular contact with stakeholders with a focus on better accountability and cross-agency collaboration. Co-authored parliamentary report on progress and performance of strategic plan implementation.Successfully managed a set of reviews on Commission-funded peak bodies and other community organisations, and advised the Commissioner on issues related to the NDIS, including the safety & quality frameworks, functional assessment, quality standards and scheme design.

Successfully managed relationships with membership of approx 160 organisations during two major funding reforms, being the Ministry of Health NGO Grant Management Improvement Program, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Managed national and state projects in line with policy portfolios, supervising up to 7 staff including Managers, Consultants and Policy Officers, to achieve significant outcomes, with projects budgeted up to $300k per annum. • Portfolios: Major reforms (NDIS and NSW Health grant reform), information and funding systems (w/ AIHW, NSW Health and IHPA), housing and homelessness, person-centred practice, youth, evaluation and quality improvement processes.• Lead projects (supervision of up to 7 managers, consultants and policy officers): o NSW Sector Benchmarking Project (nationally integrated population & service modelling) o National Outcome Measurement Projects (COAG sponsored - Mental Health Information Strategy Standing Committee) o State and national data and funding systems development (developed first national NGO Minimum Data Set with AIHW and contributed to the first Mental Health classification for Activity Based Funding) o NSW Sector Mapping Project (Authored key planning document that facilitated four years of sector development, programs and policy change for the community mental health sector).

Managed a small team (2 software developers) in translating a large corporations’ manual business processes into a fully automated operations management system (OMS). Responsible for workflow design, use-case analysis, complex stakeholder consultation, database design, and user-interface design. Developed consensus on highly contested system criteria through a combination of informal meetings and written questionnaires.
