Responsible for accurately logging samples into the LIMs system in a timely manner.Responsible for the taking in of customer samples, sorting and labelling them while ensuring that the correct information is recorded onto the LIMS system for samples that are to be analysed.Responsible for sub-contracting samples as required, sorting, labelling, tracking of samples and results.Responsible for supporting the sales and customer services team in administration and planning.This person must be constantly aware of the customer’s requirements and should strive to meet those requirements.Responsible for handling any customer related queries where necessary and liaising with their team to problem solve these queries if needed.Responsible for making any necessary changes to the Lims system.To investigate, report on and make recommendations in relation to complaints and incidences of environment pollution (air, water noise) and waste management. Implement various environmental and waste national legislative requirements, EU Directives and EPA standards. Responsible for communicating regularly with the Laboratory Manager /Laboratory Supervisor/Team Leads/AST’s of the status of work and for escalating any issues in a timely manner.Ensure Compliance to the 17025 standard at all times by adhering to the in house quality procedures provided.Complete all documentation including training sheets on time, accurately and legibly.Undertaking general administration duties including photocopying, typing, filing etc. as required.Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying the Section Leader / Laboratory Manager of any discrepancies.Keep the working area clean and tidy.Identify continual improvement in the customer’s overall experience with Eurofins by liaising with internal departments within Eurofins to ensure we meet our clients demands in a cost effective manner.Communicating any technical queries to the Team Lead / Laboratory Supervisor/ Laboratory Manager/AST’s.Responsible for facilitating training of other staff when required.Provide cover for other members of staff as required.Responsible for the continued smooth running of the areaBe flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.Assist with sample disposal and general laboratory cleaning and maintenanceResponsible for disposing of waste in the skip in the most efficient and space efficient manner i.e. collapsing boxes prior to placing them in the skip.Completion of other duties as required.
