I am responsible for managing and owning key IT third party suppliers, ensuring all parties deliver on contractual obligations and monitor performance to identify areas for improvement, paying attention to the legal aspects of contractual obligations and the risk associated with working with IT suppliers.

Manage procurement functions with the clients. Responsible for stakeholder engagement, sourcing pipeline development/execution, business case development, focused on savings to the client and reduction in speed to source. Manage projects requiring a combination of strategic category development, opportunity assessment, sourcing pipeline development and strategic sourcing.

Is accountable for the strategic alignment between Absa and key suppliers by establishing common goals and objectives. Manages the development of Supplier relationships in line with Absa’s future requirements and business strategy.Works collaboratively with SRM Centre of Excellence, Suppliers and business stakeholders to build and leverage different partnership models. Achieves operational excellence by applying their knowledge of the full supplier value chain, in order to identify areas to improve supplier value, quality and overall cost structures.Manages internal and external behaviours and processes to derive optimal value from the relationship.Solicits and interprets supplier side perceptions of relationship health and performance and uses this to enhance relationships.Develop and implement Supplier Development Programs and effectively manage and communicate its ongoing performance internally and externally.Perform ongoing joint collaboration and planning with new or existing Suppliers defining what value means to each party to create mutually beneficial continuous improvement initiatives.Defines KPIs for suppliers and the building of Supplier Risk Assessments, Benefits Trackers, Financial Stability report, and Value Management and Measurement documents.Assists business in working with suppliers to resolve supplier problems utilising the supplier complaint system, and other vendor performance measures. Oversees current and planned Supplier Performance activities linked to their area and engages with suppliers to collect required data inputs, and to follow up on supplier issues. Manages operational excellence in supplier performance through effective application of knowledge of supplier performance and adoption of performance management tool.
