Responsible for supporting and leading cross functional teams and managing projects. Ensuring that all aspects of technology based projects (scope, quality, time and cost) are delivered to specified requirements and meeting agreed customer needs.Handling product transfer and new product set up for complicated products which require higher level of expertise. Assisting the product engineering manager in providing technical leadership to the junior staff. Mechanical design responsibility includes concept generation, 3D modeling, generating 2D drawing, defining CTF/CTQ dimensions, engineering analysis (GD&T analysis, DFMEA, DFM and FEA) and product realization activities. Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line. Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield. Participate in improvements to methodologies to maximize debug, integration and verification efficiency. Product Qualification and process qualification. Product Specification and process requirement Analysis. Solve product related problems and perform failure analysis related to product issues. Interact with customers and various departments on product related issues – engineering changes, new model development. Apply company approved processes related to job function. Work with design team to resolve design related issues. Participate in cost reduction activities in areas like material, inventory, scrap reduction, process, etc,. Suggest modification to work instructions, material or product changes so as to ensure superior quality of products. Other related tasks assigned by the superiors and respective functions. 1. To understand product requirements from Customer/ Marketing and further plan the layouts for the project including NPD/ Product or Process Improvement.2. Understanding of DFM: issues and prioritizing Risks perform feasibility study to provide design/ process change as solution without compromising over Product Quality.8. Responsible for Authorization of all Engineering related document like process sheets, assembly sequence charts, wiring diagram, revision notes, Engineering change requests.9. General Assembly drawings, Inspection & testing procedures. Review of existing products to optimize design (VA/VE) and manufacturability as well as optimization of secondary operations.10. Present ideas through design reviews and drawing signoff, deliver required design documents.11. Standardization & commonization of parts, Implementation of Product Lifecycle management (PLM).12. Customization of CAD to improve quality of design and fool proof design productivity.13.
