With Bernie Bracha doing the musical bits, and me the organisation, we launched the first Tuneless Choir in Nottingham on 14th January 2016. It immediately struck a chord with those unable to carry a note in a proverbial bucket, or sing for proverbial toffee. We pride ourselves on "singing like no one is listening" and "having a wail of a time". There was immediate media interest - I've been interviewed by John Humphrys on Radio 4's Today Programme, and sung with Nicky Campbell on 5 most definitely Live. We've been on BBC News and The One Show. And we've been in everything from The Telegraph to Chat magazine. Such was the demand for Tuneless Choirs round the country, I set up Tuneless Choir Ltd to offer "mini" franchises to those wanting to run their own. We have over thirty of these. Studied for a Foundation Course and then an MSc in Psychology. The MSc was a conversion course, giving me graduate status with the British Psychological Society. Awarded a Distinction. Project: Self-Regulation in Older Adults - Coping Behaviours as Partial Mediators between Attitudes to Ageing and Quality of Life

Responsible for the introduction of new retail computer systems (SAP, Intactix) to the 60 buying teams at Boots Head Office. Established and led a team, successfully developing them to carry out their roles and move on after project ended.Planned and oversaw: data collection and cleansing for 160,000 products; communication to and training of 200+ end-users; systems testing; arranging access and hardware/software upgrades. No delays were due to areas under my control. Resolved the many and varied issues that arose during the course of the project, ensuring that the implementation did not interrupt business, as happens in so many large systems programmes. We weren't in the papers...Developed tangible performance measures that maintained control of outcomes and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsible for driving the Marketing & Buying areas' planning processes.Managed the operating planning process for three years, from the idea generation stage to monitoring delivery of initiatives. Seconded to a team reviewing the organisational design of Marketing & Trading areas, Boots UK and Boots Group.A key contributor in other projects to develop the overall BTC planning process, to develop Boots’ strategic planning processes and design a retail operations control centre.

Coordinated and developed the annual planning process, leading to the production of the business’ performance contract.Managed the business’ strategic agenda, organising Executive Planning Workshops, advising leaders of strategic initiatives.Specific work to resolve issues, such as evaluation of alternative participation strategies and alternative organisational structures – recommendations implemented by the business. Project managed the exit from manufacturing for third party retailers. Benchmarked performance highlighting poor asset utilisation which led to changes in equipment purchase/usage.
