I was lucky enough to live in New Zealand from 2008-2015 and got to work in a number of different roles with some great people across the NZ government, the many highlights include: • Working with the IT Centre of Expertise at the newly formed Government Procurement Development Group (CIPS Most Improved Procurement Operation Award winner) to implement the Government Procurement Reform Programme created as a result of a Cabinet initiative to reform State sector procurement policy and practice across the New Zealand Government. • Supporting the negotiation of the first ever ‘All-of Government’ panel supply agreement within New Zealand for the supply of laptop & desktop devices which resulted in significant savings (est. NZ$60m over 5 years) and the participation of almost 200 agencies in the New Zealand State sector. • Providing commercial leadership on the IT workstream of Immigration New Zealand’s (INZ) Vision 2015 Digital Transformation Programme. • Achieving cost avoidance of $1.8m in early termination fees by renegotiating the termination of a significant technology services contract.• Leading the technology procurement workstream on the Business Implementation Programme of Public Trust, the largest business transformation programme ever undertaken at the ministry’s 140 year history.• And finally…making a temporary transition from procurement to programme management in overseeing a portfolio of technology projects of various scale and complexity - this allowed me to obtain a valuable view on how procurement is seen from ‘the client-side’ and the challenges in balancing time-constraints with following policy (and also to finally put my PRINCE2 to good use!)

• Responsible for implementing the terms of the Global Service Level Agreement between Xerox Global Services and EMC² Corporation.• Presented the monthly SLA report to the EMC² IT Service Management team outlining SLA performance and availability of services for that period.• Involved in negotiating and drafting the Service Level Agreement between Xerox and EMC². • Managed the Implementation of a large-scale technology refresh project of Xerox print devices at multiple EMC² sites. • Managed the relationship between Xerox and third party service contractors onsite at EMC² to ensure compliance with underpinning contracts as set out by Xerox and its third party providers.
