Software Engineering Manager
Current- Managed entire software engineering team in Vietnam, team size ranging from 3-5 SWEs plus 1-2 QAs.- Set out the career growth paths and followed up with each of the direct reports.- Conducted weekly 60-minute one-on-one coaching sessions to discuss potential growth opportunity and address blockers. These sessions often bring up new perspective that no other channels could possibly reveal.- Collaborated with sale and customer success teams to identify feature requests and blockers, then translated them into deliverables in annual product roadmaps. Followed up with these roadmaps to continuously adjust expectations from both product and engineering teams and keep them engaged and accountable.- In charge of a wide range of engineering spectrum, from high level architecture, to day-to-day software development practices. Kept a high bar for engineering excellence while unblocking hindrances on innovation velocity.
