In particular the purpose of the Council is to promote business, finance, research and education cooperation in health and sports and the general and common operating conditions of its members in this business environment in China, Finland and elsewhere in Europe.The Council compiles and delivers information to its members in relation to the operating environment and its best practices. The Council introduces its membership and know-how to potential customers and partners in China, Finland and elsewhere in Europe. The Council will introduce to its members with business and financial opportunities and partnerships in China, Finland and elsewhere in Europe. In 2016, also representative of the University of Turku in the Turku Future Technologies collaboration network involving eight Finnish universities.During my time as Director, I was involved in revising the unit’s position within the University of Turku. As a result of events prior to my term, the unit had been separated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in 2011. During 2015-16 under my leadership, the unit was successfully reunited with the faculty, and integrated with the Department of Information Technology. The new Department of Future Technologies was formed in January 2017, merging the staff of both the Department of IT and TRC. Show less
