The Head of Māori Development will work with the Executive to develop Air NZs Māori Strategy, incorporating it into our overall organisational strategy. The role is also responsible for integrating Te Ao Māori into our customer and employee propositions and for external engagement with Iwi, Hapu, Māori Authorities, Māori entities and related partners and stakeholders.

The Auckland Housing Programme is a joint initiative between Housing NZ and HLC to deliver large-scale housing developments in Auckland over the next 10 years. This includes housing precincts at Hobsonville Point, Northcote, Mt Roskill and Mangare. By balancing commercial and social outcomes to deliver social, affordable, and market/commercial housing products to the market, HLC is creating and enduring legacy of sustainable and resilient communities through effective partnering with Iwi, neighbourhoods, Council, Crown Agencies and the residential property market. My role is to activate the Māori Outcomes Framework into the precinct developments, and to produce Māori partnership and investment opportunities in Auckland and across Aotearoa.

Reporting to the CEO of Unitec, my role is to take a proactive leadership role in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in the planning, promotion and monitoring of the implementation of Unitec strategies and the Te Noho Kotahitanga Partnership including> Providing advice to the CEO on Māori leadership and associated structures and processes at Unitec;> Owning the Māori Success Strategy and providing advice to the ELT, Runanga and Unitec Council on its implementation;> Investigating and scoping opportunities for initiatives that enact the Maori Success Strategy in the context of Unitec's transformation ambition;> Reviewing services, processes and practices across the organisation to ensure that Te Noho Kotahitanga is actively demonstrated;> Working with the CEO to ensure a Maori Governance body provides support and advice to both the Unitec Council and the CEO;> Liaising with Unitec staff and networks in the development of future state organisational plans;
