My passion for beautiful lawns and gardens developed during my teenage years whilst working for my father after school and on weekends at several private gardens in the Southern Highlands. So a career in Horticulture was a natural choice!I began my career as an apprentice Greenkeeper at Kiama Golf Club, and just 18 months into my apprenticeship I was promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to learn as much as I could about my trade and the diversity of horticultural activities, completing a broad range of courses from Horticulture, to Landscape Construction and Sports Turf Management. In addition, I have sought to improve my knowledge and skills in Business Management, Training and Assessment. I particularly enjoyed sharing my experience as a mentor to young greenkeepers and horticulturalists as a part-time lecturer at TAFE, and now enjoy mentoring my own team of horticulturalists in my current business, Turf 2 Trees Horticulture.I believe in taking a holistic approach to garden and landscape management. This means managing and maintaining all aspects of the landscape including lawns, gardens, trees, hedges, irrigation, soil and fertilising, infrastructure and water features.At Turf 2 Trees Horticulture, we specialise in acreage garden management and take pride in our ability to navigate the unique challenges associated with working on large scale landscapes. We especially enjoy managing formal and show gardens, having presented numerous gardens for charity functions, open gardens, photo shoots and filming, as well as for weddings and large parties.
