Tendering and letting the contract and managing it through CEMAR. ◇ Managing contractors undertaking a PAS 128 buried services survey and a 3D BIM model of a new berth.◇ Managing health and safety on site for contractors undertaking construction activities.

Short term contract to provide project management / package management support to a multi million pound infrastructure upgrade project at Devonport Royal Dockyard. Key element of my role was to develop scopes of work, Site Information and Work Information for NEC 3 contracts. This was for multiple survey packages which needed undertaking as part of initial enabling work. These packages included ground investigation, 3D mapping /scanning of structures, service identification and PAS 128 surveys.

Undertaking a research and development project to produce numerous electro-mechanical products.My role has included the management of the business, project management, generating product concepts, the mechanical design using Solidworks and prototype production, presentations to clients and managing external subcontractors.

Key roles:◇ Leading the analysis of the Nuclear Operations and Maintenance department, plus the Estates department. Working with stakeholders at all levels to develop and implement efficiency improvements to drive cost saving and improve safety. To do this I used a suite of lean techniques and business improvement strategies.◇ Reviewing the organisational structure and changing how the maintenance function was delivered to deliver best value for money for the MoD customer.◇ Reviewing the organisational structure within the HV Electrical Maintenance department and driving and delivering an organisational change so the structure was aligned with the future business strategy. This involved close work with an external nuclear regulator to ensure the change was managed with no business disruption and with KPIs in place to monitor performance.◇ Was part of a team which defined the business improvement process which was to be used throughout the Devonport site. ◇ Managed various communications campaigns to the whole 4000 employees on the Devonport site, including Nuclear Safety awareness and methods of reducing IT costs.

Management of facilities infrastructure upgrade projects ranging from budget responsibility from 10K to £500K+ per project. I was responsible for the management of contractors and internal staff ensuring that projects ran on time and within the required cost.The projects included:◇ Management of the demolition of a 3 story building◇ Installation of a reverse osmosis plant◇ The manufacture of a structure to remove a tail shaft from a submarine.◇ Replacing the hauling gear for a Caisson.

I undertook placements around the Babcock Engineering Support Services business. They included:◇ Project management and production to support building a superyacht.◇ Quality and Safety placements◇ Risk management for a nuclear submarine refit project and also for an external tender bid.
