Water, Sanitation And Hygiene (Wash) Specialist
CurrentResponsible for programme development and planning; programme management, monitoring and delivery of results; technical and operational support of programme implementation; humanitarian Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) preparedness and response; and networking and partnership building.Includes preparing WASH inputs for situation analyses; providing comprehensive and current data to inform WASH policy and programme development, planning, management and implementation; supporting strengthening national government WASH sector monitoring systems; monitoring UNICEF-supported activities through field visits, surveys and exchange of information with partners; and contributing to the coordination arrangement for humanitarian WASH, for instant robust coordination in case of an emergency.- Played a lead role, supporting the Government of Zambia, in the launch of the national Water Supply and Sanitation Policy, contributing to a stronger enabling environment- Led, in support of the Zambian government, the development of the Green Climate Fund concept note- Played a lead role in consolidating requirements and overseeing water treatment chemicals support to the Government of Zambia from the Government of Germany in response to the COVID19 outbreak, for the benefit of over 6 million people countrywide- Co-led and continue to co-lead with the Government of Zambia, WASH COVID19 Response (Updating sector Response plan, tracking response plan indicators and co-chairing monthly meetings) for greater coordination in the response- Selected to be part of the internal 2021 Female Talent Initiative Programme (one of thirty professionals) for the Eastern and Southern African region, to further develop my leadership potential through virtual classroom sessions, mentoring and coaching sessions
