I am a passionate Water Resources Engineer with passion in the areas of Water Loss Management: Metering, Physical loss management, Asset management, and Pressure management; High Rate Anaerobic Waste Water Treatment Processes that focus on resource and energy recovery, Water Law, Water Supply hydraulics (design & modeling) and Energy Efficiency in Water Supply systems. My first work as Ag. Water Loss Engineer for Kampala city's water supply utility, Kampala Water which is part of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation made me understand aspects of leakage detection, high billing investigations, DMAS' design and management, and Metering-selection, testing, servicing, and calibration.My consequent deployments as a Branch Engineer and Area Engineer (Mbarara Area) with National Water and Sewerage Corporation enabled me to understand all aspects of water supply-treatment plants design and operation, planning for and designing interventions of supply reliability/extension, the general operation and maintenance of water supply systems, Design and Operation of Waste Water Conveying Systems (pipes, manholes, booster stations), and Water Safety Plans Development and Execution. My independent work designing water supply systems has equipped me with the practical knowledge and skills needed to design any water supply system based on any given source; gravity, groundwater, and surface water. I have also, in the process of designing both on-site and off-site sanitation and wastewater management systems gained practical knowledge on the design of these systems for industrial, municipal, or domestic applications. I am a researcher with a keen interest in Water Metering, DMA management, high-rate anaerobic wastewater treatment processes, energy efficiency in water supply, water law, and application of multi-criteria decision analysis/making. I am proficient in the use of AUTOCAD, EPANET, QGIS, SEWERCAD, ARCGIS, and WATERGEMS software applications in water supply and wastewater systems.
