• Working in Aftermarket / OE Product Engineering/Automobile Installation/ Towing• Preparing DFMEA's. Develops and manages product quality test plans and testing implementation procedures for existing products in conjunction with Horizon Global quality personnel, capabilities, and resources.• Reviews customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine part/product requirements and compliance; Determines and provides illustration(s) and text for instruction sheets while leveraging continuous improvement of instruction sheets and product specifications; among other duties.• Working on legacy products, improving the drawings to match what is manufactured.• Research new product ideas and methods• Ensure compliance with the industry’s standards.• Maintain accurate records• Supporting Multiple Projects Simultaneously• Maintain Product Life Cycle management.• Able to understand and work with foreign companies and different cultures.

• Responsible to carry out Design & Development activities to meet customer’s requirements & modification of existing product to ensure customer satisfaction by incorporating customer’s expectations into product design. • Authorised to guide team of draughtsmen.• Responsible for co-ordination with Assembly, PPC, QC for prototype building & testing.• To assist Head-Engineering in proper functioning of department & preparation of engineering technical documents. Also to maintain document control of drawings, specifications, standards, BOM etc.• To provide technical clarification for queries from services, sales & marketing• To assist material department for the development of new vendors• Responsible to issue document issue note (DIN) to production & PPC team along with BOM• Responsible to work on new customised enquiries to submit customised enquiry sheet with GA drawings to sales person. After order receipt order execution with part code generation.• To discuss regularly with committee members on feedback of product through customer’s complaints, field failures and inhouse non conformities

• Providing inputs to the Sales and Marketing team by working out the new product costing/estimation as per customer RFQ which include process selection, tooling/fixture cost, machining cost, etc.• Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 standards for maintaining NPD documents like Process Development Plan (PDP), Process Flow Chart, Tooling/Fixture drawings and, Inspection reports, Development job cards and trial records, Process Validation Reports, etc. • Creating drawings of products, 3D models of moulds using designing software such as AutoCAD and Solidedge.• Continuous collaboration with other departments (Production, Quality Control, Machine Shop, Packing and Dispatch) to ensure proper execution of sample development orders.• Mould Design and Development as per the process requirement and validating the same through production trial runs.• Well versed with SAP S4 HANA ERP software to prepare BOM and Routing, issuing Purchase requisitions and Purchase orders, completing the confirmation entries, uploading Product Drawings/Parameter forms/Work Instructions, etc.• Work with Cross-Functional Team (CFT) members from Quality Assurance & Manufacturing departments through all phases of product development process.• Communicating with the customer for engineering change in the product specifications and developing custom products specifically as per customer requirement.• Engineering (Proposals) and costing support to sales department, interaction with customers for technical discussion.• Implementing continuous improvement (KAIZEN) activities, 5S by identifying/investigating areas to reduce costs and improve process capability.• Provide in time service to minimize down-time and costs to productions departments on handed over components. Ensure worker productivity as per company’s norms. Provide all required information from work related area to HOD in time.
