Soon after commencing operations, Avco/Associates became a successful Finance company with offerings in the area of consumer finance as well as commercial lending to mid market clients. The company was subsequently acquired by Citibank.

In this position Tushar was responsible for consolidating Citibank's lending for all asset products including Mortgages, Auto and Asset-backed financing to mid-market borrowers. At that time, he responded to the need to strengthen Citibank's collection infrastructure by implementing the first outsourcing venture before it became an industry buzz word. Tushar was part of the Citibank Cards start up team which acquired Diners Club credit cards.

Tushar held a variety of positions in Corporate Lending, Audit, Credit and Risk.
