I concentrated in working as an employee representative. I was directly representing 150 - 300 senior salaried employees, but was also the chairman of NOPSY, the local association of the senior salaried employees. In that role I was in a way representing all Nokia Networks Espoo senior salaried over 2 500 employees.I organized the work of the Nokia Finland employee representatives, and acted as the lead negotiator in the negotiations with the employer. I led eight headcount reduction negotiations. In the biggest ones the original reduction target was 1 300 and 1 200. The actual was much less in the end. Other big successful local negotiations were the flexible working time agreement and the working time extention negotiations in 2016.I was also a member of the Nokia European Works Council in 2010-2013 and 2016-2017 and in its Working Committee in 2012-2013 and 2016-2017.I also participated in the collaborative agreement negotiations in the unions' backgorund team since 2012.The work offered me an exceptional view to both Nokia's different parts and levels, but also to the industry as a whole. I learned a lot about varying management practices, HR processes, collaborative agreements and the different laws pertaining to the work life, and about their different interpretations. I learned to find solutions to difficult disagreements and situations. I also learned how to deal with media.
Led a group globally responsible for negotiating the sourcing agreements for all the commercial software and software as a service (SaaS) used internally in Nokia Solutions and Networks. Set up the global internal software ordering processes and practises for the new company (Nokia Siemens Networks at the time). Started using global software resellers in a systematic way. Created SaaS procurement practises together with the team.In addition to other duties, started as an employee representative for the senior salaried employees in 2010.
