Supporting and participating in the collective bargaining for senior salaried employees in private sector in Finland.

I concentrated in working as an employee representative. I was directly representing 150 - 300 senior salaried employees, but was also the chairman of NOPSY, the local association of the senior salaried employees. In that role I was in a way representing all Nokia Networks Espoo senior salaried over 2 500 employees.I organized the work of the Nokia Finland employee representatives, and acted as the lead negotiator in the negotiations with the employer. I led eight headcount reduction negotiations. In the biggest ones the original reduction target was 1 300 and 1 200. The actual was much less in the end. Other big successful local negotiations were the flexible working time agreement and the working time extention negotiations in 2016.I was also a member of the Nokia European Works Council in 2010-2013 and 2016-2017 and in its Working Committee in 2012-2013 and 2016-2017.I also participated in the collaborative agreement negotiations in the unions' backgorund team since 2012.The work offered me an exceptional view to both Nokia's different parts and levels, but also to the industry as a whole. I learned a lot about varying management practices, HR processes, collaborative agreements and the different laws pertaining to the work life, and about their different interpretations. I learned to find solutions to difficult disagreements and situations. I also learned how to deal with media.

Led a group globally responsible for negotiating the sourcing agreements for all the commercial software and software as a service (SaaS) used internally in Nokia Solutions and Networks. Set up the global internal software ordering processes and practises for the new company (Nokia Siemens Networks at the time). Started using global software resellers in a systematic way. Created SaaS procurement practises together with the team.In addition to other duties, started as an employee representative for the senior salaried employees in 2010.

The Operations representative in the Integration Management Office activities. Responsible for Operations Mode of Operations. Concentrated in finding the most problematic organizational interfaces and facilitated the work to agree the resolution plans, for example: how to make sure that the agreed supplier prices get implemented in the actual purchases.

Responsible for the Operations global Day 1 readiness (sourcing, manufacturing, logistics) of the new company (Nokia Siemens Networks). Led the work of the regions with the Operations function representatives. Day 1 was a success.

Managed a line organization of about 50 people in several locations. Repsonsible for the product data management strategy, IT system requirement, PDM training and the use phase support to the business units.

Managed the cross-functional Nokia Networks Software Delivery program as a part of the Software Business Program. The program resulted in establishing a centralized Software Delivery Center and eventually in harmonized software deliveries in Nokia Networks.

Responsible for the sorucing, manufacturing and logistics planning for al the new and old products of Broadband Systems and Narrowband Systems Business in a matrix organization.Represented Operations in the Broadband Systems Business Management Team. Sorted out several difficulties with and and changing of the manufacturing partners.

Set up and Managed the Nokia Networks global manufacturing technology development project portfolio (20-40 projects in parallel) and related governance in a matrix organization.The organization was also responsible for the Operations feasibility studies globally for all the new products in Nokia Networks, covering sourcing, manufacturing and logistics related aspects.

Managed Service Management product R&D, about 40 software developers in several locations.Launched a new software product.Managed all the Tellabs Finland hardware, software and network management system maintenance work in a matrix organization of over 300 people in Finland and USA.Product Support Process owner. Set up a sustainable cross-functional steering structure for making the maintenance related decisions.

Led a group responsible for managing all the Teconmen R&D projects globally in a matrix organization of about 150 people in Finland and Ireland. Set up the portfolio view to the R&D work.

Product management, requirements management and release management.Managed three paging system release programs in a matrix organization. Work performed by R&D groups in Finland and Ireland (about 1 year / 50 people projects).Managed to build the trust between the Irish and Finnish R&D teams.Technical sales support to Swiss PTT (Swisscom) account team. Led the Swisscom paging network acceptance negotiations.Led the work to define the new paging network management system together with the customer and own personnel.

Software sales support and project management.Biggest program was the production system of foreign mail of the Finnish and Swedish postal offices, where the software development work was done by a subcontractor. The system was taken into use as planned.Contributed to the development of the ISO9001 certified Quality System (2nd one in Finland).
