Protecting life and assets has been my passion and fortunately my career for nearly twenty years. Several of those years in the United States Army National Guard, where most of my service was dedicated to the Military Police and Corrections field. Data and results drive my decision making, through a combination of 'boot on the ground' assessments and data provided by the field it is possible to identify and prevent potential incidents and losses. My goal everyday is to ensure everyone goes home in the same condition in which they arrived. At heart, i am an educator and strive to share information with others to ensure that my daily goal is not only successful, but enriches those around me. As a result i believe in management by empowerment and education rather than dictation or demand. Leadership is allowing those you currently lead to grow and to learn and become leaders themselves.Currently hold multiple levels of professional certification in multiple fields which include; CSP (Certified Safety Professional), OHST (Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician), PSS (Physical Security Specialist), SSYB (Six Sigma Yellow Belt) among others. Outside of work i am working on a sci-fi novel currently and hoping to have it published. I also have a serious interest and love for history, leaning towards military history but with a global interest as well. I try to incorporate this passion into my work to provide unique and interesting ways of delivering information in training and safety meetings.
