In this role I was responsible for leading and managing the technical workshops and services (26 FTE) that we provided to our customers that utilize the ferry line to several destinations. In addition to that I was also responsible for the facilities and assets , e.g. premises / linkspans etc., which included 1 FTE direct report. At our Vlaardingen Terminal we were only handling cargo. Our technical services cover the annual checks (MOT) / repairs on road trailers, heavy duty forklifts and terminal tractors. Our services covered cross docking / breakbulk handling and trailer washings.DFDS is northern Europe’s largest integrated shipping and logistics company. In this role I was responsible for leading and managing sales of mobile port equipment in Europe region and Turkey through the dealer network that was being built. It involved the sales of reachstackers, empty container handlers and heavy duty forklifts. For the sales outside of Europe and Turkey we were supporting our Chinese colleagues whenever there was a inquiry for the in Germany built SANY Port machinery.SANY has for several years been one of the largest suppliers for port machinery in the Asia-Pacific region and started to initiate the global expansion with special focus on the European market. With the broad range of equipment, we offered complete solutions to terminal operators, ports and other bulk and cargo handling companies. With out team we have a very good understanding on the demanding environment of cargo handling and our products were designed to meet the highest standards in reliability, durability and efficiency. Europe is home to some of the busiest ports and has the largest intermodal logistics network worldwide. SANY Europe located in Bedburg Germany, operates as our European Headquarter and is serving this important market with container handling machinery designed and built to fulfill European standards and local needs of our customers.

My job at Cargotec was to encounter the process from first contacts to inquiry till award of the order at our customers concerning the investment in mobile port machinery (e.g. heavy forklifts, reachstackers, empty container handlers, terminal tractors etc.). I worked as a field sales representative at Feyter Forklift Services B.V. and I was responsible for organizing sales in the designated area's: Western Brabant, and Zeeland. I was serving customers with consultation on which kind of forklift was best for their operations combined with advice on the operational lease or buying the equipment directly.Feyter Forklift Services B.V. secializes in thinking along and unburdening customers in the field of logistics. Doing more than the customer expects is "service" in Feyter's view and with that in mind they serve all customers with one ton hand pallet trucks, forklifts in all capacities and with all possible drives up to container handling machines with a capacity of 45 tons and everything what's in between.In addition to equipment, Feyter also supples pallet racking and are strong in the rough terrain area with Manitou (aerial platforms, rough terrain forklifts and telehandlers).

I worked as an ergonomic consultant for Savas Quality Seating. A major player in the Netherlands in the ergonomic seats market for all working spheres, one should think of chairs for forklifts, trucks, container cranes, shovels, etc.In my role I advised, and was seeking for, customers that were struggling with personnel that suffered from back pain and needed a special solution in their working environment in order to have a new ergonomic seat or to alter their existing seat towards a level that was best for their body.
