This tool has been used by over 200 researchers, cited in 43 publications, and has been highlighted by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada and on CBC radio.• Coordinated a three-year public health surveillance grant from the Public Health Agency of Canada to examine the built and social determinants of cardiovascular health in Canada. This project helped establish a casual link between the way communities are built (e.g., street design, availability of green spaces), the propensity of populations to engage in physical activity, and measured indicators of cardiovascular health and hospitalizations. • Oversaw the delivery of over 30 survey and data analysis reports to municipalities across the United States on a variety of topics (e.g., (e.g., COVID-19 vaccine distribution, affordable housing, transit, early childhood education, strategic planning, government funding). This complex, multi-disciplinary research has helped communities find solutions to difficult questions, such as: How should we reach out to the vaccine hesitant? What is our town's daytime population, including non-residents?
