Working in the Oil and Gas sector as a Marine Seismic Observer for Petroleum Geo-Services, one of the leading seismic acquisition companies. Self-employed (Sub-Contracting) Responsible for installing, maintaining, testing and certifying electrical wiring. Installing electrical equipment and fixtures on various construction sites in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Primarily for two large housing developers, Stewart Milne Homes and Cala Homes. Developed good communication skills through dealing with suppliers and customers and have become competent at meeting targets and working to deadlines.Responsibilities: • Installation of 1st fix wiring, electrical back boxes and the routing of ducting for extractor fans and fresh air inlets• 2nd fix, termination of electrical accessories , distributions boards, boilers, time clocks, room stats• Tracing, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.• Testing and inspecting finished properties, producing test sheets for completion certificates• Routing and terminating SWA cables for 10kva transformers to supply 110v site power• Routing and terminating SWA cables for site huts and steel storage containers • Working extensively with wiring containment systems for underground car parks • Installation and terminating FP cables for smoke ventilation systems• Producing material take off lists for each house or flat type from electrical drawings
