I’m Twyla and I am making it my mission to teach children financial literacy. Through my own struggles and triumphs, I have learned the palpable power of being able to work the system instead of having the system work you. When I graduated from college, I found myself in $44k worth of debt. This amount of debt might bury most people, or at least take an incredibly long time to pay off. I used my own financial savvy and priceless advice from my parents to knock out my college debt in just 2 years. Being that I was the exception and not the rule, I knew I had to use my financial hacks and pay it forward.I began Kash Kids as a book series and educational course to help children be aware of the concepts of money from a young age. School doesn’t teach you how to build credit, but Kash Kids will. I’ve read the startling statistic that black wealth is predicted to be at 0 by 2053 and Hispanic wealth at 0 by 2063. I am committed to doing my part to help set future generations up for financial success and that starts with lessons learned in youth.The Kash Kids book series falls under Prindle House Publishing, my marketing and publishing company for authors. I help authors become self-published success by providing the tools they need to navigate the business of being an author, no matter where they may be in the writing process.I look forward to continuing to help children become financially literate, writing more books, and help other authors do the same.
