I was a teaching assistant for the course PHYS1102 in Cornell University, instructed by Nick Taylor. This role focused primarily on direct one on one tutoring of students. I tackled this teaching by helping students understand basic examples and extrapolating these worked examples to the problems which they did not understand. I was awarded the 'Most Distinguished TA award' out of a pool of 28 teaching assistants for my teaching in this course.This work took place during the onset of COVID-19, which meant that quick adaptation to an online teaching environment was required to ensure effective teaching.

I aimed to make physics interesting by focusing on real world examples, such as the oscillations of jelly, or the energy consumption of a light bulb, teaching that physics can be applied to more than just abstract concepts.
