I'm responsible for overseeing and managing traditional press, digital media, private fundraising, and events. My primary responsibility is to maximize TRLA’s external presence to engage with new audiences and existing supporters in TRLA’s 68-county service area while ensuring quality, consistent, and accurate information is being distributed on behalf of TRLA. I also oversee the planning of communications, donor cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events, and other activities to improve relations with donors, volunteers, board members, supporters, and others.

I am responsible for shaping and stewarding a statewide culture of pro bono among all lawyers practicing in Texas, both in-state and out-of-state licensed attorneys. I am responsible for cultivating partnerships with law firms, large corporations, and law schools to increase the number of low-income Texans who get help from a pro bono lawyer and narrow the justice gap. Last year, I engaged lawyers to provide approximately ½ million dollars of in-kind pro bono contributions and am responsible for growing this number. I am responsible for all statewide pro bono outreach, events, and volunteer engagement according to the vision and needs of the State Bar of Texas and its partners. For example, I coordinate multiple law firms to train hundreds of lawyers at once and engage them in handling a wide variety of legal matters ranging from domestic violence to wrongful evictions and foreclosures at no cost. I am responsible for ensuring that the public receive legal assistance in a timely manner to protect them from additional harm and prevent further crisis. When a natural disaster hits, I deploy thousands of in-state and out-of-state lawyers across the state to help handle the multiple legal needs of displaced disaster survivors. In coordination with other staff, I am also responsible for building influential communication tools to define the overall statewide pro bono culture among lawyers.
