As a member of the Service Operations Centre (SOC), we provided the first level of escalation for the Orbitz Worldwide Production Linux environments working 24/7/365. The SOC managed the successful release of many daily code changes to the production environments, and supported applications in the pre-production environments as well. The SOC provided systems monitoring and took ownership of incident management activities when necessary, escalating to appropriate teams, and facilitated the quick and efficient communications between teams to restore service as quickly as possible.
